The following tricks will make your eyes look larger. (If you are nearsighted, your glasses will make your eyes look smaller, so your eye makeup needs to make your eyes look larger.)

1. Apply eye liner at the base of the top lashes, starting at the centre of the eye and continuing to the outer corner. The area between the centre and inner corner of the eye is not outlined. In the same way, apply eye liner on the lower lid only from the centre outwards.

2. The easiest way to apply eye liner on the lower lid is to dot eye liner at the base of the lashes and then blend it in with a thin sponge applicator

3. Apply white kohl pencil on the inside rim of the lower lashes. This will give you a dewy, wide-eyed look and make your eyes look larger.

4. Your lashes frame and define the shape of the eyes, which is why mascara makes the eyes look bigger. Add an extra coat of mascara to the outer lashes as this will elongate the shape of the eyes and make them appear larger.
